About The Maker:
Marco Minnozzi is an Italian luthier from Ravenna. He trained with Renato Scrollavezza in Parma and has worked with other makers including Horacio Pineiro and Rene Morel.
In his own words, “There are many ways to introduce yourself. Usually, it starts with your studies, advanced training, and master's degrees; then the accolades, awards, and finally the certificates of esteem and assignments received. In short, the list of everything that should prove your talent.
I've been a violin maker for forty-five years; I have plenty to say, and for anyone interested, I keep a well-written resume in some drawer. But ultimately, if I had just one minute left to live and had to talk about myself, I could only talk about my teachers: great, truly great. I owe everything to them. My only true merit? I've always questioned myself. So, over the years, what they taught me, what I've seen and heard, has become mine.”
